Question for Arri Users

I'm getting ready to shoot a music video using Arri lights. (1K, 650, and two 300s.) I'm wondering if anyone uses the lights bare, or should I get some gels?

This is a matter of personal taste. Setting the mood for a music video can be daunting, despite the type of music. Is it a story driven video , based on the lyrics , or is it documenting the band playing ?
Whatever reason, and whatever your going for, music videos seem to have fewer "Rules" than a typical film or commercial .
If your shooting the band playing at a bar (for example), there are no rules of lighting in play... colored , moving lights are par for the course. If your shooting a guy singing about how his "Girl dun left me, and my dog too", your talking a different set up. Or are you ??? This is left to your imagination.
Personally, I would think that having some diffusion available for faces, and a handful of colored gels around to be quite helpful. Have you decided on your locations yet ? Do they also include windows in your shot ? You might need some CTB to color correct for daylight. Want them to look tan... bring a little straw colored get or 1/4 to half 1/2 cto. Want a purple wall.....
These are things to think about before asking some of your lighting questions.
Mood, location, story, talent ,available equipment, budget..... good luck.

Hey thanks for the advice! I guess it'll be better to have some gels on hand then to not and wish I did!
