Font size, not really a set in stone standard or speed. Why not look at some of your favorite movies for an idea. Also subtitles are typically white or yellow depending on the movie and in a clear font like helvetica. Placement is key. They usually go towards the bottom but once in a while that's not practical if the bottom of the screen shows someone's face or is pure white.
Thanks Noah. I was just trying to figure out the most commonly used font by the film industry. Since I do not have anything to say during the credits, just music+ credits, I figured I would want this to look the most professional possible for Festival submission.
Another question: For festival submission, is there any special criteria for DVD's? For broadcast we have to give colour bars as well as a sound signal and a counting leader, how about for Festival Competition? Any input on this?
You can put them in if you want but most festivals have no idea what to do with them so I'd just go ahead with the movie itself from a simple play menu.
