Question about zooming into ground glass on 35mm adaptor?

My question is ... Am I degrading the footage if I zoom in on the ground glass to obtain desired framing/composition?? I'm talking about small amounts of zoom.

My setup is an HVX200, SGblade adaptor, with nikon prime lenses.

Are you degradingthe footage? Yes. The closer you zoom in, the more ground glass you see and the more grain you get. I would not zoom in on the Ground Glass more than necessary. Just enough to eliminate the dark edges. This said, can you zoom in a little bit. I would imagine you have a 10% zoom margin. No more.
