Question about wireless mics...

Hello,

Currently I have a sennheiser md46 w/ sk500, and the g2 wireless setup. I'm wondering how many wireless transmitters can one receiver support. IE, can I run another md46 w/ sk500 and be ok?

thanks in advance :)

oh, thats odd, since the kid came with a bodypack transmitter and me2 lavalier, and also the sk500. IF I use both, will it sound bad? Whats the best option?

It doesn't work, period.

They offered the option of the plug-on so you could use it with a stick mic... just like you're doing... but if you had to run a lav off that plug-on you'd probably snap off the barrel of an XLR lav and you'd have a big, clunky "potato" stuffed under the shirt of your actors... and that don't work either... hence the body pack.

What you CAN do is set the two transmitters at two close CHANNELS and quickly switch between them at the receiver... this switching action isn't fast enough to actively mix a natural conversation (there's 1 second delay) but it's still a great convenience.

ok cool. thanks for all the info guys. i'm going to have two spokesgirls eventually, so i might look into a complete 2nd G2 kit. So I'd have two A-freq kits, and set them a few apart. Then I could have one into each channel on the dvx.

My current way of doing it is the G2 into one channel, and a Sanken CS1 into the other. :D

like it's been said in other threads about this very same topic, it won't work.

yeah for some reason, my searches weren't coming up with anything good. I read through the other one linked from here, and it answered most of my questions. I'll just have to save for the second wireless setup...

thanks again! :)
