I read that some people like this Philips O'Neil Headphones. They are cheaper and and I assume not like the HD25.
But I need a pair of headphones that are rugged and offer some noise cancellation or isolation (passive noise cancellation is what it is called.0
I would use attached to my HMC150 while I am interviewing speakers in crowded rooms or lecture rooms or outdoors in harsh environments. I am not looking for perfect isolation, but enough to hear what I am recording and be able to make changes to levels and microphone.
I hope the bass is not over the top and distracting. I hope the lows, mids, and highs are just normal and not enhanced, Mostly concerned with human voice and listening for anything distracting.
I will not use these for editing in post, I use my AKG for that.
I like the idea of these headphones because as a weekend warrior I need something that can take a little beating.
If at 50 dollars I break them, I would feel better then 300 dollars.
I heard the heavy duty cord tends to suck a little power, but I will not use this with an mp3 player.
So, to any owner of these, how is the noise cancellation, how much of outside noise can you hear, how does human voice sound, can guys with big heads feel comfortable with these, and on location recording people with the Philips O'Neil VS Sennheiser HD25, will there be any difference that would not let me hear the audio details I need for recording what I need?
Or do you recommend a different model Philips stretch
And again, for post editing, I don't know without trying the Philips if I would use them.
