question about the Audio2000 lavs

A few things to consider. The reciever is powered by a wall-wart. You'll need to either have AC power available or sort out how to power it with batteries.

Now for more serious issues:

Two transmitters
two headsets
two lav mics
a dual channel reciever

All for less than the price of a single Tram TR-50 lav mic.

I strongly suspect that if you make a sound at the microphone end, then a some kind of signal will come out of the wire attached to the reciever that you can then record. Beyond that, do you really believe you'll get anything worth recording out of these things?

Remember that Sennheiser is considered the least expensive systems that will do the job ADEQUATELY. So, is the system you listed usable? Yes, you can use an am radio to listen to music if you can put up with the limited bandwidth, very, very low signal to noise ratio, and the continuous interference.

For the same $150, you can probably find an up-and-coming sound guy who'll bring a couple of channels of sennheiser lavs, a shotgun, boom pole, and provide you with audio that is miles beyond what this $150 toy will do.

Really depends on what you want. They are UHF so there is some hope of decent reception. You could rig up a battery pack and eliminate the wall wart.

BUT

The mics may well be junk, the quality control is probably crap, there is probably zero support from the company, at least for production needs. They might be OK and "hidden gems", but they are probably consumer junk and a waste of money. If it's for your own projects and your willing to gamble I might give them a try. Otherwise stay away. If you show up to a shoot with them and something goes wrong or they sound bad it's your but because you didn't buy something respectable.
