question about storyboard terms

Im working on astoryboarding a fil I'll start shooting in the next week i think. I downloaded three storyboard templates I liked and am choosing the one I'll use.

I dont understand some of the terms on the templates though and was wondering if anyone could fill me in.

two of them have "Shot # ____": I just lable these sequencially right?

Of those two then has "Seq. ____": What do i put there?

The other of the two templates also has 2 squares, a large one and a smaller one which are labled Overhead and Key of Overhead. What are these for?

Any insight appreciated

Thanx again!

Re: question about storyboard terms

When you break down your script you have to break it down into individual scenes. So scene 1 goes for 5/8 page. The first shot would be 1A and then the second shot would be 1B and so on. When you reach the end of the scene it now becomes scene 2. So your first shot in scene 2 would be 2A and then the second one would be 2B and so on. Those are shot numbers. Hope this helps.

Re: question about storyboard terms

I'm guessing that its just like an overhead view of the scene. You draw where the actors will stand and where the camera will be. It may also serve as a lightning plot and so forth.
