Question about sound package #8

In the #8 package listed in "New to audio" sticky...Two mics are recommended; The Oktavia MK012 w/ hyper cardiod cap and the Audio Technica 4073a.

Am I correct to assume the MK012 is used for interiors and the 4073a for exteriors?

Also, can, or should the 4073a be used for interior sound? In other words, can I get away with just one of these mics for the time being?

you can get with me-2 if that what you can afford :-)
on not reverb locations you can work with shotguns

The AT 4073a can work in some interiors, but not all. The more reverbarant the space is, the worse the mic will sound. People here often say that the 4073a is not quite good enough for interiors, now if you want one mic that can do everything, you may want to look at the Sanken CS3e ($1200).

or, just get an Oktava too!

The CS3E is out of my price range unfortunately.

The rooms Im filming in are fairly small and cluttered. 12' x 15' with 8' ceilings. Would the 4073a work well in this environment?

There is no way for us to judge the room acoustics for your room. You will really need to go to the location and listen.

Most likely you will need two mics - you can rent if you can't afford to buy.
