Question about selling Motion...

Hey guys. Several months ago, right after Apple started doing the whole cross grade deal, I was able to pick up the last copy of the full version of Motion at my local compusa. It was $300, and with the crossgrade, I was going to be able to update to full FCS for a mere $200, bringing my total to $500, a fantastic deal that I was luckily able to take advantage of. Unfortunetly, I had yet to buy my Mac. Some might call that dumb, but I was so set on getting one I went out and got Motion so I could get the crossgrade when my mac finally arrived.

Well, fast forward a few months. After buying my DVX and having to pay for school and such, I definetly don't have $2000 sitting around to go buy a powermac/mac pro. So here's my question. If I were to try and sell my copy of motion, completely unregistered, all original packaging and items (manual, etc) (I did open the box to check out the contents, but the DVD has never even been put in a computer), would I run into any issues?

I would hope to still sell it for at least $300, since that means you'd still be getting the entire final cut studio for $500. Just curious as to any issues I might run into. Is there a way to prove to people it has not yet been registered?

Sure, put it up on eBay. No problems at all. Registration is held by Apple, you have to go on-line and register your software. If that's never been done, it's never been registered, but you have no way to prove that to anyone. I would assume your proof is the unbroken seals on the boxes. But it is prefectly OK and perfectly legal for you to sell it for what ever price you can get someone to pay for it.
