Question about mounting 75mm head on 100mm bowl

This may be a dumb question so i apoligize. I am relativly new to this.

I have a bogen 503 head which is supposed to be mounted on a 75mm bowl I think. I also have a Vinten 3 stage tripod with a 100mm bowl and I would like to mount the head on the bowl.

My question is if I buy a 100mm half bowl leveler would the head fit correctly on it? Or would I have to buy an adapter and then get a 75mm half bowl leveler?

I would be more inclined to buy the 100mm half bowl leveler because in the future I would like to upgrade my head to something a little bigger. I know its a drop in the bucket as far as price is concerned but I unfortunatly dont have a lot of money.

Tough to say. I own a Sachtler DV-6SB which has a 75mm ball leveling mount. My Losmandy Porta Jib has a 100mm receiver. When I first bought the jib, I bought one of those 75mm to 100mm adapters. Turned out the Sachtler fit into the bowl better without the adapter. Sure, the 100mm bowl is too big for the 75mm ball head but it just snugs down into the bowl and stays in place when tightened.
