Question about giving credit for guerilla project.

I want to make a short for youtube and other webcasting sites. It's a fan film of a famous sequence of a copywrighted book (the script is the book text word for word). How do I hire an actor for this? Would actor's be reluctant to do shorts like this? I plan on paying them since I won't be submitting it to any film festivals. It's more just for fun. Should I not offer credit to them?

Whether you pay someone or not has nothing to do with giving someone a credit.

What if someone wants to do the project but does not want their name associated with it. Like it's a challenging, juicy role, but their name associated with it may cost them gigs down the road. Maybe like Traci Lords who did an illegal film and had trouble finding work after that. (Maybe that's a weird example but you get my drift.)

Are there works where an actor would not want credit? If so then yes I would pay them more since I'm assuming they are doing short films for credit and to learn.

I look for actors who don't want the pay, but would rather the credit.
Check local film schools and I'll bet you'll find all kinds of options, at any rate best of luck
