Question about Final Cut Pro Sequence Settings

When I log and capture my footage off my HVX200a. My footage appears in the bin. When I drag my video clip down to the sequence timeline. I get a message along the lines of "Do you want your footage to match the timeline" I click yes, and the footage appears in my timeline. I am wondering why I get that message when I configured my easy setup to what I am shooting in on my HVX200a. Can any body help me with this problem?

Do you know specifically what settings are changing when you drag the footage in and have it auto conform? Take screencaps of the sequence settings window before and after.

Here is the message that comes up in Final Cut Pro.

When you make a new project FCP puts a sequence in the Browser based on the settings for FCP at the time you launched it. When you change the Easy Setup those new settings do not apply to any existing sequences but only to sequences created after you've made the Easy Setup change.

okay thank you so much. I have been reopening a lot of old projects importing new footage. So this make a lot of sense. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
