Question About Baby Plates

Hi,

I've been wondering this for a while. What's the benefits of getting a 6" baby plate over a 3" baby plate? I mean the 3" will go lower to the ground and you could always raise it on something.

Just to clarify I'm planning on using the plate (attached to a piece of wood) as a small light stand for hiding background lights.

If I were just buying one of them which would you recommend?

Thanks!

If I was just going to buy 1...I'd get the 3"..
When a director calls for a "Directors Chair"...I always offer one of these...
