Question about 'adult' industry

I came across a job posting on craigslist for a video editor in an adult entertainment company.

2 thoughts occurred to me. First, paying video jobs are not easy to come by. Second, would someone later on look at that say 'well, we don't anyone associated with that associated with me'.

Or would the content not matter, just what skill and experience I could demonstrate?

None of you know me personally, but I really don't go for that sort of stuff. But I think we all know the adult film is a huge industry. So they must be hiring lots of camera operators, dps, editors, etc.

If it's not indelicate to ask, is this something a lot of people do at some point in their career? Is it considered shameful to admit?

Money's money, but I wouldn't include it on your resume, and you might want to be uncredited or use a psuedonym. My guess, based on your post, is that you would be miserable, but if the pays really good, you might want to consider it (after all, weddings and corprate gigs can be miserable as well). I was offered a job in this industry when I was still a student and after careful consideration choose not to do it. I'm pretty sure this industry won't open any doors to the other side of the valley.
