Not so clever
This is completely off topic in relation to anything but it non-the-less bothered the hell out of me so I had to post it.
I got into an argument with a filmmaker friend of mine yesterday about the movie "Once" which is shot on a sony HDV camera (don't know which one) and I asked if it was shot with an adapter, he said no because "people in England and Eurpoe don't believe in using adapters like the M2 because it destroys the artistic merit of a film".
Hmmm I don't think so. I'm pretty sure Wayne from shoot35 is from England, and there's lots of people in Eurpoe who LOVE any adapter. There's definitely decisions against using an adapter when it comes to filming for time sake and lighting sake but still I don't think that's a viable argument to say that if a few people don't like it that everyone doesn't like it.
Any thoughts or comments?
