question about a vivitar 35mm lens I bought...

I bought a 135mm Vivitar lens off of ebay for fairly cheap. On the ebay page it says it fits a nikon, but it won't hook up to my m2 with the nikon lens adapter. All my other nikon lenses fit.

Are there different types of nikon fits? It's definately a standard 35mm slr camera lens, nothing special. Basically I need to nkow if I need to ask for my money back or not, or if there are other typs I'm unaware of and the ebay ad wasn't very specific.

I'd send it back, Nikon's mount has been standard for a long time. I have a Vivitar series 1 135mm lens that attaches to my Nikon mount no problem. Maybe the seller had a mix up...
