question 150w HTI

HTI is another of the Osram metal halide family. They are used in projectors a lot. You can generally multiply the HTI wattage by 3 (conservatively) to get the equivalent tungsten wattage but multiplying by 4 might not be totally out of line either. So it comes out between 450w and 600w that way.

Another way to figure it is lumen output is 10,000 typically in an 150w HTI bulb. So lets see, if we figure an average tungsten output of 15 lumens per watt it would be about a 600w tungsten to give 10,000 lumens so it does end up multiplying by 4.

One thing to be aware of though, the CRI on these bulbs is typically only 70 which is not so great if you're thinking of using it as a video production light. Its not so critical--the color rendering in a projector, believe it or not. They're also used in disco lights sometimes and no one cares about CRI in that either.
