Here's a little video I made taking a listen to a lav (DA04) and headset mic (DA12) from Que Audio. I think they sound pretty good. They do need some clean gain to really shine. They have a -45db sensitivity, which is beneficial for loud talkers, or people presenting or even singing. I'm not throwing away my Sanken, or my Rode lavs, but these mics are a great addition to my kit IMO. I think they have a nice open sound. No shootouts here. Just checking out the mics running through Sennheiser wireless. Rather than -12db sensitivity in the G3 transmitter, I just set it to 0db and everything else is the same as I usually set it. No sweetening done of course. Just straight from the receiver to the camera.
It's been a while since I've done any audio gear videos. I've been into aerial video using an RC quadcopter with a camera attached and having a ball! But if you want to peruse my (mostly) audio gear demos, here's the playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL856439E1B9E1A669
