I've seen this before, and there's some discussion of this in other threads, but I want to get opinions just to be safe. I edit on a Mac with Premiere Pro CC. If I export a clip in ProRes format, and open the clip in Quictime to look at it, the colors look washed out. If I import the ProRes clip back into Premiere, the colors look fine.
Is this just a quicktime display issue?
I've attached a screen grab. #1 is the program monitor displaying the timeline. #2 is the ProRes file imported back into Premiere. #3 is the ProRes file opened in QuickTime.
