Qucktime Movies Losing Contrast

I am new to this so there is probably a simple fix. All of my Quciktime Movies seem to have lost contrast after conversion. Any thoughts on why?

I'm am converting to H.264 and if a set the file to have higher contrast there is a very disturbing flicker. Can anyone help?

Conversion from what though? What formats, what is your workflow. Tell it to us as if we can't see your computer from here.
