The 2nd Generation of Q-Lion lights that we are now selling added Kill and Reset Buttons.

To disable the Power Button when traveling, using a pen, press and hold the the KILL button button on the side for 5 seconds.

To enable the Power Button after it has been killed, plug it into your charger.

To Reset the lamp to default settings of 5600k and 100%, press the RST button.

Press button once to turn on.

Press multiple times to dim.

Press and hold to change from 3000k to 5600k.

The “Kill” feature is a great addition. A friend often finds his Quasars have turned on during transport, causing them to become very hot, & exhausting the battery.

Would love a couple of the 24" ones, but too long for my carry-on. With the built in lithium batteries, are these legal to put in the checked luggage?
 
By the time anyone goes to home depot and gets all the bits and parts to make it as functional as a kino or quasar, one could be in the $35 range for a light with bad CRI. This is pretty great. Will check these suckers out. Thanks Terry!

They've been showing them on their site for at least a year. I inquired about them when I bought my cross fades in January and still have yet to see one in-person. Honestly at this point, the Voyagers are what I really want.

A buddy of mine shot some basketball promo's for Turner recently and they used the Astera tubes. He said he was impressed and I liked the look they got when he showed me the pics and what I saw on-air. Everyone pretty much uses them(the various LED tubes) for practicles. I've only used a Quasar tube as a "light" once, and not a practicle.
