Quality Polarizing and UV Filters

Based on suggestions I’ve read in other posts I will be buying a UV filter (to protect the lens) and a circular polarizing filter. However I am concerned about quality. I don’t want to buy filters that will add distortion or other problems to my video.



Tiffen makes kit that includes a UV/Haze filter and a circular polarizing filter (72mm lens mount) for about $80 (at B&H). Does anyone know if this kit is professional quality, or near to it?



Can anyone recommend a good quality brand / model at a reasonable price?


Are there certain makes / models / features I should specifically look for? or specifically avaoid?

Tiffen is a top brand and a good quality product. I prefer Schneider filters. I think they are both very good, at this quality level, they're all very nice. I'd say away from brands that aren't Tiffen or Schneider, personally.
