Quality loss when using Hue/saturation

Hi, I just found this site, it seems to be great!

Anyhow.. I am making a amature movie witch is going to be a parody of "Sin City".. The problem is when i make the film black & white using the "Hue/Saturation"-effect in AE, the quality gets really grainy and bad (as you can se in the picture below). When I used the ProcAmp effect in Premier I got much better results (the nicer looking black&white picture below). But I really need to get the picture black & white in after effects or else I won't be able to make all the effects I want to. Anybody who knows how to, if possible, to get the quality as nice as it gets with premier?

Green channel tends to have the most information and least noise. That's why greenscreen tends to be preferred for keying in video.
