Quality Loss On Media Transfer?

When you take an edit (in this case that's spanned across three hard drives where all the original captured material lives) and use media manager to copy it over to another drive, is there any quality loss with the 'copied' files aka the new media on the new drive?
I've heard every which way about digital files and when they begin to loose quality via copies. I'm assuming that one copy the answer is NO, but I wanted to make sure. Plus I love talking to all you. You're all coming to my wedding...

Digital files, when copied, are just zeroes and ones being replicated. Copy it a million times, NO QUALITY LOSS. That is an analog concept.

Recompression, on the other hand, is a separate matter - I don't know the specifics of things like what happens when you Media Manager Copy and reduce to clips with handles with a long GOP format like HDV - does it recompress any of the frames? I don't know.
