Quad-Core HP Laptop for Editing

I need a new portable editing system. I'm using my brother's q6600 desktop with 3.5gb. I'm moving, so I can't hijack his system anymore. It'll be my primary system, so I still want something pretty fast, but it's gotta be portable. I'm looking at the hp dv7-2185dx. Really the only things holding me back are the screen resolution, ddr2 instead of ddr3, and lack of blu-ray (not really a big deal). I'm editing on sony vegas right now, and i'd like to switch to the 64 bit version. I'm also using hdv at the moment, but i'm saving up to buy something new by the end of the year (maybe a fixed-lens scarlet if it's available by then). What does everybody think? Good buy? Is there something better out there?

I built a Quad Core for $600.00 bucks with DDR2 RAM and a cheap Nvidia 9400 GT. It kicks ass for editing. Any Quad Core should work OK.

yeah it seems like a decent deal, and it should be even faster than the quad-core system i'm using now. there's also an 18" version with 1920x1080 res and blu-ray, but only 4gb and 512mb video.
