I am in the process of converting some half hour Betacam shows (digi/SP tapes) to PAL from NTSC using a DVW M2000 sdi out through a Teranex VC100 sid out to a Blackmagic Design Decklink Studio Card.
I log and capture in FCP QT ProRes and send the drives to Europe. So far everything has worked out fine.
Now I have a client in Europe who wants the shows edited without commercial blacks (no problem) but delivered in AVI format.
Has anyone used Streamclip to "re wrap' their Pro Res files to AVI? Will there be any loss of quality or other issues for broadcast? Is this a long render process?
