PV-DV103D
Ok so ive had my camera for a bit and now its decided whenever i turn it on to not give any error messages on the LCD but the red power light above the VRC/Camera selector starts to blink twice repeatedly and the function of all buttons is stopped and its self timer to shut off sets in. Before this problem the red light stayed on and nver blinked. Ive read the manual and tried to troubleshoot it myself and im haveing no luck. Does anyone know what it means when it the power light blinks?

honest answer?

all new electronics have a built in random timer, thing are not made to last anymore.

not just cheap little camcorders look at cars bmw? benz? all crap

no matter how much you spend you will get disposable goods...

another answer, your camera needs repairs normal wear and tear, be ready to spend $150+ for nothing but a firmware update

so now what

so now what

Ok so does anyone know what that blinking light means? id like to see if i can fix it before i spend money on it.

maybe the internal clock battery is out?

where do i send it? can it be fixed locally or do i need to UPS it somewhere?

Best bet is get the pdf/instruction manual check it out maybe it has a revision and update for your camera (search panasonics site)

There is a authorized repair shop in new jersey (where miss jan chills)

so just give them a call during buisness hours (315) 446-8700

tell them your problem model number and maybe you'll get lucky and its as simple as opening your cassette door for an hour because of moisture condensation

I have no clue, but it seems like it could be condensation.
Some of the symptoms happened to me with my 1 chip camera.
It started to work again after some time. But then I had the same problem after a while, and was waiting, hoping that it would work fine again, when it got stolen.
