putting camera on a flat surface

Anyone know of anything i can build to put the camera on any relatively flat surface preferably also able to adjust height?

An example would be to mount the camera on a bathroom sink (the counter) to take a POV from the view of the mirror of someone looking at themselves.

Any ideas?

Stickypod would work. Or a small tripod.

try the steadybag...its like a little beanbag that moulds to the camera bottom and allows you to position easily a few inches off the ground. Comes in a few sizes...

The steadybag wouldn't be high enough.

Just get a cheapie tripod (they can support a dvx as long as you don't pan) and put it on the counter and use a wide angle lens on your camera. I don't see it taking much more than that to get the shot.
