Purchasing a 35mm adapter for my HV20

I know there are a lot of threads out there talking about all kinds of 35mm adapters, but I figured it would just be best to put all my questions into once place.

I'm looking to get a 35mm adapter for my HV20 and am wondering what the best one would be from people who have tried different types. Is the Letus35 mini a good buy? Is it a fixed or a zoom lens? How does the zooming work if it isn't? Any other things I should look out for when making a purchase? Basically what is the best option for my HV20?

A 35mm adapter isn't a lens. It's an "adapter" that allows you to put lenses on a video camera. You supply the lenses.

Like the previous poster said, you need both an adapter as well as one more more 35mm lenses to mount to the adapter.

You also need a bit of self-discipline and careful though before you use one. All scenes aren't best captured with shallow DOF.

There are lots of models out there. There are those made by people like me (www.bj35adapters.com) and then there are commercial models costing 2-5x the price.

I'd recommend you compare features, price, and footage. Then figure out how important an adapter is to you and what price tag you can afford for one.

Hope this helps.
