I have been playing with Vegas Pro Platinum Pack for about a week, as well as with other competing and complimentary products, and have decided to get the Vegas. I really like the amount of control I have over just about every aspect of the editing process, even if it has been a bit hard to find some of the controls. I searched forever for the simple crossfade in the transitions menu until I found it was on the menu bar.
My question is about buying the product. I have the trial on my machine now. I can just buy it with a click on the "This is a trial" popup, but that is probably going to cost $115 from Sony. I can buy it from B&H for about $95 including shipping and would also get a box with the disk and manual. It would take longer but I am only about 10 days into the 30 day free trial. Are there any gotchas about converting to the permanent product? Can I just enter the code from the purchased product and activate the already installed version? I would hate to loose all the customizing I have done.
Also, does anyone know of any better deals or coupons out there?
