Hey my camera, the dvx100A is flashing in red psd ng. Can't find anyone who can tell me what it means. Someone said it means the stablizer is kaput and that I need an overhaul. Another guy said that if I shoot while that is flashing my shots will be blury. Who out there can tell me what is what?::thumbup:

Or if you feel confident in your steadiness of hand. There is a post elsewhere on here that shows how to correct the error by opening the camera & reseating the cables to the OIS system in the lens. It is not for the faint of heart though.
From what I have read in various forums, {I had the issue too}, the majority of the PSD NG occurrences are due to a loose connection in the small ribbon cables connecting the ois to the daughter-board of the camera. This will happen to anything electronic over time. It is very common in computers due to heat/cool expansion & contraction. And in this case, most likely due to the handling of the camera.

Again, this is NOT a Panny authorized procedure, and made me sweat for the 90+ minutes it took me to complete. In doing this you take a high risk of creating a $1000 paper weight. But you also will save yourself not only the down time to send it in, but the $300 - $600 bench fee.

THIS RISK INVOLVED IS ALL YOURS. DO SO AT YOUR OWN LIABILITY.

P.S. If you do decide to go through with the steps listed, do not skip anything, and do not rush yourself.
