PrPro 5 and Magic Bullet Frames

So I have two clips that I have to adjust the scaling up to fit my 1920x1080 stage.
Then I use Red Giant Magic Bullet Frames to crop it to 2.35:1 but the problem is that the frames are setting to the original size of the clip and not showing. I.e. it's as if the frames are getting the same scale up which is what I don't want.
I thought maybe I just needed to render the clip after scaling it up, the apply frames but that doesn't do it either.
Help.
 
I've never known Frames to be a scaling plugin. I always thought it was used to convert DV footage to progressive. I thought Resizer and Instant HD would be the plugins used in your instance.
 
I just made a new 1920x1080 sequence and dropped the scaled clips on it.
Exported it out and imported that clip onto the original timeline.
I was then able to apply my frame properly.
