...that Anyone But Me, a new Web series I'm producing, has its premier on StrikeTV on Monday, December 8. StrikeTV, conceived during the writer's strike, was created to produce and promote original programming on the Web. Its line-up comprises the largest collection of Hollywood content created for an Internet audience.

I am so happy and proud to be associated with this show, and no doubt that my sometimes sporadic involvement with DVXuser.com played a role in my hooking up with the series. Producing six-minute shorts for the quarterly film fests here built my knowledge and confidence to the point that I applied for and got the job, which is certainly the largest-scale production I've managed so far.

Fellow DVXuser.com members Beat Takeshi and Arrik made up the camera department.

Please check it out and give us your support. You can watch a trailer at the series Web site and then be sure to tune in Monday for our first episode.

I also just updated my blog with an entry about the show...

Thanks, ya'll! I'm really excited. Please tune in tomorrow on StrikeTV. Also, we created a blog today in which series creator/writer/director Tina Cesa Ward talks about what inspired her to develop the show; check it out here. And thanks again for the support!

Leslie did a KICK ASS job producing this and went waaaaay above and behind. I have a feeling this show will do very well.

Thanks so much, Spartacus! We have three more episodes in the can; episode 2 comes out next Monday (Dec. 15) and 3 & 4 will debut the first two weeks in January, so please keep watching! We are currently in the planning stages for the episodes to follow those.

Leslie, this is such awesome news! I am very happy for you. Congrats to you.

I am sorry that I didn't get to visit you before I left New England. Next summer for sure!

Again, congrats and good luck!

best,
Ted

All 4 episodes that are done are really good IMO. They did a good job casting this and the writing is on point. Be sure to watch out for the next episode.

Episode #2 of Anyone But Me premieres tomorrow (Monday, December 15) on StrikeTV. We've also been selected as an Editor's Pick video on AfterEllen.com, which will also start carrying the episodes on Monday. They gave us an awesome write-up last week!

Anyway, thanks to all of you who've checked out the show; I really appreciate it! After episode 2 launches tomorrow, we'll have a two-week holiday hiatus, and then episodes 3-4 will premiere during the first two weeks of January. And we are in pre-production for the next episodes; looks like we'll be shooting in the first quarter of 09, so I'm psyched! Thanks again everyone for your support!

Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh... We just found out that StrikeTV has moved the premiere of Episode #2 to tomorrow, Tuesday the 16th... Please tune in tomorrow!

Hey, Ki-Ki, thanks so much for asking!

Episode 4 premiered today on Strike.TV, and we are in pre-production for the next two episodes! We've been getting great feedback around the Web, and have been picked up on Web sites and in blogs from here to Brazil to Spain.

Some of our reviews:

A "relevant new drama." --TubeFilter News

"Intelligent and enjoyable. ... Stellar acting, writing, and producing." --CherryGrrl.com

"Undeniably appealing." --Tilzy.TV

"The story is interesting and the characters are more intriguing than, say, those on 90210." --CliqueClack TV

"Anyone But Me brings awareness of the challenges of growing up in a generation that doesn’t remember life pre-9/11. ... And the chemistry between the two girls is undeniable.” --AfterEllen.com

"It's refreshingly apparent in the first episode that this series isn't cut from the same cloth as most of the teenage dramas on television, instead delivering a more realistic depiction of teenage issues compared to the oft-escapist TV shows populated with vapid and privileged youth." --Philadelphia Gay News

"I am waiting on the edge of my seat for [more]." --Broadway Bound
