Protests of parents for masks at schools at Kavala Greece video

They really don't get it, do they! They want masks for their kids to presumably prevent infection and transmission, yet none of them thought wearing one themselves a good idea. Clearly the kids shout and yell to each other, get closer than they should and are all in close proximity - just like in this video! Sure, it's open air, but wind can easily take the shouty guy's breath stream and land it on the others! Parents get more ill than their kids - we all know this now.

Upon first hear, it seemed backwards to me to advise that the virus less travels outdoors where there is wind than indoors where there is no wind.

Seems like wind would produce more travel, not less.

But also more dispersion, no? It seems like the collection of virions in an enclosed space by people breathing and talking for an extended period of time is what accumulates an infectious viral load.

But yes - I remember hearing that a sick person at a restaurant infected the people downwind from them but not upwind (from the air conditioner current, that is, not actual wind)

I guess it's simply concentration of the particulates, and outside is better than inside, but outside it's safer, unless weather conditions make it less safe. Football crowds are now banned and that is outside, but theatre performance (my thing) is now allowed outside but not inside. I suppose what we are all missing is that we do risk assessments for everyday tasks, tripping over cables, getting burnt with hot lights, cut with sharp surfaces, electrocuted from touching live terminals, gassed by carbon monoxide and poisoned from dangerous chemicals. We do these kinds of assessments every day in normal times, but we're incapable of doing them for coughs, sneezes and breezes!

Weird!
