Protecting your ASSets

Was wondering if any of you knew where to start looking for insurance in terms of "protecting yourself" in case, **** hits the fan on a project.
(i.e. I filmed or edited someone's dream project. It rained and caved in on my editing room & his masters the next day). Or something ungodly happened which was out of your control.

LLC the only option?

Re: Protecting your ASSets

LLC is a great option for keeping someone from suing you for everything you own. Problem is they can still try and sue you for everything the business owns. When you make a contract with your employer or employee add a liability clause (everything short of negligence).

In your example I would work with producer to always get master dubs that are stored somewhere else.

Good luck
