Protecting HVX lens

only get a slim one if you plan on stacking 2-3+ filters...(which is kind of a bad idea with screw ons - you can end up cranking the bottom one(s) on too hard)

I'm confused: the slim ones don't have a front thread, so aren't you only able to use one slim on any camera? I thought the way it worked was that by getting rid of the front thread, this allows for a thinner filter, allowing for a wider angle without vignetting.

My question is: the other option is the "extra wide angle" filter (which has a 95mm front thread), or the normal filter (with an 82mm front thread). Of the 3 (normal, slim, extra wide angle), which is satisfactory for the HVX's stock lens so there is no vignetting even at the widest angle? The reason I'm unsure about just getting the regular one is because the HVX has a decent wide angle, hence why I'm wondering if the "slim" or "extra wide" would be the better route.

You know, I've done it a million times with my old junky camera, but now that I have the HVX, I better make sure I'm doing it right: what's the proper method of cleaning your lens? Or, in my case, of cleaning my B+W clear filter? I have Nikon lens cleaner and Optical Lens Wipe, but is that the way I should be doing it? What about rubbing it against my shirt? (I kid!)

Or just seach, simple way to clean it just breathe on it and then use a lens cleaning cloth. I have Kodak lens cleaning paper for my HVX, the package reads " A soft, lintless paper specially prepared for cleaning lenses, filters, and other highly polished glass surfaces. Safe for coated lenses too." Anything that says all that should be fine.
