Prores Converter aka Pavtube HD Video Converter

Hi all,

I recently had a shoot that recorded video in DXnHD format and I need to edit it in FCP instead, due to unforseen circumstances. I found this: http://www.proresconverter.com/ and used the trial version. Although the trial version had a watermark over the converted video, it seems to do the job.

Before I spend money to buy this software, I would like to check with you good guys out there if this is indeed a trustworthy one, to avoid buying a dud.

Anyone who had experience with this software, please share with me. Much appreciated!

You can use Apple Compressor for this. and many other things as well, BTW.

Also, you can download Avid's DNxHD codecs for free and you should be able to edit natively in FCP (although you'll have a smoother experience if you convert to ProRes).
