Wasn't too sure what forum to put this in, so I'll just go with Directing for now.

Basically, I'm interested in where to go for realistic fake weapons... guns in particular, but also knives, grenades, ninja stars, rocket launchers; anything. Are there any trustworthy online stores? What brands should I look out for, and how expensive are they? (I'm generally on a budget, but I'd like to know what my options are.)

Grateful if anyone could shed some light on this. I'm new to action movies. :tongue:
 
Well it depends on when you are planning to enter production. We have a huge lot of firmly built realistic prop weapons which we will be trying to sell off come september. We have at least 13 different weapons.

At the moment, nothing's scheduled. I do have a feature planned, but it's still in the script stages. I just wanted to know where to go, for future reference.

What types of weapons will you have for sale? How much will they be going for?
 
DevonSloan has referred me to this thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=69525. I didn't see it before. Not sure if the mods want to move/lock this, but I certainly don't want to clutter up the sticky, so in the meantime:

Mark, how was the service? And how did you deal with the orange tips? I have a cap gun that I painted the tip of with black nail polish, and the result was actually pretty pleasing, but I'd hate to have to do that for all of them (and am at a loss at what to do for silver).
 
I have ordered from them also I have bought 7 guns from them my favorite is the walther P22 9MM I have both.
 
Seriously if youre looking for a really inexpensive replica with action, alot of the airsoft replicas work with full action just a chunky machine sound... You can pick these up at any sporting goods store for around $20... then you can also easily disasemble the outer shell and use paint to give it a better look... Cheap replica... looks good... and you can shoot your friends...
 
Yeah, but you need to check your city before getting airsoft guns. They are not allowed in NYC. I dunno about Boston where that guys is.
