Prop Knives

I cant help with any advice on where to buy them but you can make them fairly easily.

What have done in the past is to take a real knife, use mold builder to cast a copy of the blade then fill it with model building casting resin and paint it with metallic spray paint or if you want to make it look extremely real, cover it in chrome spray and then etch into it to make it look as if it is sharpend at the ends. You can get the casting supplies and the resin at most Miniature train stores. It works great if you get the metal to work right. I've heard of other metal looking sprays that work well too.

You can look to any of the martial arts supply stores. They have a small variety of rubber knives. I have at least three of them for self defense training. One of them looks like a big hunting knife, another looks like a simple knife with no hilt, and the other looks like an army fighting knife. A little silver paint and no one would know the difference.
