Promoting a Radio Show

So my radio show has been running for about 3 years. It has gained popularity over the years, yet we believe that our promoting skills could be better. I was thinking about giving away tshirts to people somewhere. Btw, I'm not the best when it comes to promotion.

What do you all think?

I have a friend who runs a Libertarian radio show, and his show was made bigger by doing guest spots on bigger internet radio shows. If you're not already running a Facebook fan page for your show start one, become acquainted with other internet radio shows, do appearances on college radio and other independent radio outlets. There are also pages on FB like "My DJ on Facebook" that run their own music selection broadcasts that will include links to your show. Giving away T Shirts is a great idea but keep in mind with Facebook and all of the privacy issues involved it's pretty difficult to monetize a Fan Page - beyond crowd funding or seeking out "donations" - it's a great vehicle to generate new listeners. Learning a little bit about PPC marketing, and working with a graphic artist would probably help too. If you seek out the support for what you are doing from other pages and you have a decent sized fan base on Facebook to barter with you can create a lot of new opportunities to reach more people. All you have to do is work at it for a couple of months and your audience will start to grow.
