projector recommendations

Hi,

I am wondering what people use to project their films (short or feature) and what their experiences are with projectors in general.

Does a higher end projector (like a Christie or Panasonic) make a difference either for the better or worse?

Or does multimedia projector (Epson, Infocus, etc.) do the job?

My footage is SD and shot with the DVX.

Any feedback would help.

If you can get your movie screened at a theatre with an HD Christie, the quality is fantastic. We use excessively lower grade christies at work to project commercials etc and the quality is dictated a lot by your content. One of our rep theatres here in Toronto was just renovated and luckily enough is also an editing suite on the side so all the equiptment is top notch. keep an eye out for the most recent of technology and you shouldnt have an issue.
