Project Not Openeing (HELP ME SAVE MY PROJECT!)

Hello all. I was working on a project in Vegas 8.0 Pro yesterday and it closed on me. I didn't freak out because I had just saved it. So I go to reopen it and then when it gets to 100% loaded a notice pops up on the screen. I'll include a picture. I tried restarting my computer and that doesn't work. Is there any way to save this project or am I screwed?

Try looking for the veg.bak file of the same name. That's the backup file. If you go to File>Open and look for it in the folder where you saved the project, and set the file type to All Files, you should be able to see it. Try opening that.

You may have lost a little bit of your previous work, but it'll certainly be better than losing the whole project.

The backup file had the same problem =[.

Another interesting thing.

The main file gets to 65% the freezes then jumps to 100%. Then the error message comes up.
