I looking into either board to run vegas. Anyone heard any problems using the Project I/O with Vegas? Or should I just stick with Mackie Control Universal as my choice. I running Vegas 6.0d, XP Pro and also use M-powered PT but thru my 1010 card so having the Project I/O is not manditory to run the program.

This is the same question I have.

This video makes it seem like the M-Audio ProjectMix works pretty damn well with vegas:

Well, it all depends on what you're gonna be using the board for. If you want to simply control pans and volumes then a controller is all you need which is where the Mackie Control Universal works fine. However, if you a controller and you need microphone inputs for voice-over, foley, adr etc, then ProjectMix I/O can provide that for you.

smithy, since you already have the Delta 1010, you dont need the ProjectMix. You wont be able to run both hardwares simultaneously anyway.
