Gulager is starting to step up at last. He is still a child (like sneaking around outside the producer's office and listening to their phone conversations). I wish we had heard more of what Dad had to say (John, this is reality...). Now that the producers went to the Maloof brothers for more money, if they get it it will be impossible for them to fire Gulager without losing the film (IMHO). So I guess next week we will see how that plays out (Will they get the Maloof money? Will Chris fire John?). And a comment from the casting director in next weeks' previews that she was "really happy with the casting" means that we can move past this and maybe talk about something besides John's family.
It sort of makes me wonder what they would have shown for the past two weeks (plus next week) if they had picked a normal kind of guy. I guess just watching professionals do good work is not what 2005 reality TV is about huh?
Oh and for anyone who missed it, I saw an ad that said next week the show is moving to Thursday night. But that is not what my Dish Program guide says yet...
