Project File Transfer Question

Hi all,

I apoligize if this has been answered before. I did a quick search and didn't find the answer.

I have FCP 6, and need to send my project file to someone still using FCP 5.1...I know they cannot open the actual project file. Can they open up my timeline and project file if I export out XML? I am basically wondering what my options are, and what the best way to go about this is.

Yes... if they have the same media or can connect to it.

File - Export - XML -- Option 2 or version 2 or something like that.

Will bring all of your effects along with it too.
