Hi there,
I'm finishing editing my film in which I have included a few slow zooming effects by progressively changing the scale of the clips. I would have dreamed to be able to shoot them directly on set, but... DVX may be a magic camera, it is not [/i]that magic.
My problem is that FCP doesn't seem to be able to proceed this kind of operation in progressive mode. The zooms are quite slow so the interlaced ugliness is not really visible but still...
I wonder if there is a way to perform these zooms in progressive mode other than applying the "deinterlace" filter. And if "deinterlace" is the only option, will it damage the footage (already damaged by the scale operation, one is enough) ?
And my questioning goes beyond, as I'm about to start the titling and credits sections where they will be quite a bit of graphic motion, and I sure don't want some cheap interlaced animation to devastate my beautiful (and so painfully acquired) progressive material.
Thanks to soothe my anguish.
