Progressive deinterlace

Is there a need to deinterlace when exporting a frame from progressive footage. I thought not but i noticed when exporting a frame shot with the xl2, edited in a 24p timline, the result on frames where there is a lot of motion is interlace lines. It doesnt make muhc sense though because even if it was thinking it was 48 interlaced frames or something like that the fallowing frame is the same as the last so it should just cause a blur no?

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I do this all the time with Premiere Pro and progressive footage from a DVX (shot in 24PA mode). Haven't tried it in standard 24P so that might be an issue.

You might want to try and export your time line to a new, progressive .avi (using "Export Movie" or "Ctrl + M"), then start a new project and place the newly created .avi into a fresh timeline and see if the same problem occurs?

This may be a question best addressed by someone with experience on the XL2 (I have used an XL1 long ago but never an XL2).

Sorry, but I haven't any further ideas at this point in time.
