Programm to create a short movie?

Hi!


What programm can you recommand to use to create short movies (like city portraits)?
I just got my 5dmkII and want to make some vids, but I don't know what programm I should use there are too many out there....
I use a Mac, so os x programms are prefered.

iMovie (bundled), Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro - try in this order, if you hit some limits, move to the next one.
 
Since he had not stated what exactly he needs in terms of NLE functions, I gave as complete answer as I could. It is quite likely that even FCE is an overkill, but it is also possible that he wants one particular function that is only available in FCP. I have switched from FCE to FCP because filter limiting and 3-way color corrector - if it were not for these, I would not care about all the extras in FCP and stayed with FCE.
