Program for CAD drawings?

Autocad just released 2 Mac OS versions: One of them is 'light', available at App store for $899, and the $4000 for the full version.

How does vectorworks compare to it? When I looked at autocad, it looked like it had it's emphasis on architecture but not so much on technical drawings.... is that correct?

Or we can talk, since I work at a CNC shop now............. we use BobCAD and it outputs direct to Pirahna (CNC tooling/Toolpath programmer). Haas VF-2 3 axis CNC Mill and VL-6 CNC Lathe with tail feed. Both capable of 0.0001 accuracy. We've been doing gov't contracts (can't say much more, but let's just say owning Indie Arms got me the job) lately, but want to expand into commercial production.

BTW, owner retiring......training to run the company. Just finished a month in the Estimating/Purchasing Dept. Now in the shop running the machines for a month. Next month.....in the bidding department.....

Am thinking you will be using 6061 aluminum, with an anodized coating?

Shoot me a PM if you are interested.
