This has always been a big question for me...how do professionals do their workflow?
For instance, the Coen's used FCP to cut No Country for Old Men shot on film. You can see one BTS footage that they had timecode burned into the files they cut which tells me they're using proxies (only makes sense anyways to use them). That I understand as people use them to cut RED footage and a bunch of different things.
I guess my main question is after they're done cutting the film, what process is used to go back to a higher quality source and what source do you think professionals are using?
